Lead Free Rework

For lead-free rework and repair, the Chipper can be used with an APE Bottom Heater, featured on page 10 of the referenced catalog.

PCB Rework Holder

A standard 8" × 8" (203 × 203 mm) PCB repair holder is included for most PCB sizes and is adjustable in every axis. A board release mechanism allows each PCB to snap into place and be quickly released when required. A Z-axis nozzle clearance piston avoids profile obstructions when locating and clearing SMT components.

SMD-500 Nozzle Exchange Program

The SMD-500 includes three (3) SMT component repair nozzles that can be included in A.P.E.’s exchange program, allowing the user to exchange any SMT rework nozzle for up to one year from purchase. See the SMT Nozzle List detailed on page 22 of the referenced catalog.

Automatic Lift Off

An automatic SMT component vacuum pick-up lifts the SMT component from the PCB once reflowed and continues to hold the part during the system’s cooling cycle.
