Forced-Air Convection Heating

The Komodo Dragon uses forced-air convection to distribute bottom-side heat across the circuit-board assembly. This heating approach supports controlled preheating while reducing the thermal demand placed on the top-side rework tool.

High-Mass Lead-Free Boards

When paired with an APE ChipMaster reflow system, the 1200W panel heater adds the bottom-side energy needed for high-mass assemblies and lead-free processes. Preheating helps reduce temperature differences across the board during component removal and installation.

Flexible Board-Holder Compatibility

The preheater can be used with both frame-style and fork-style board holders, allowing it to support different board layouts and work-area configurations. It can also provide supplemental heating for demanding hand-soldering work.
