APE Bandit 220V Split-Vision BGA Rework System

The APE Bandit is a straightforward vision-placement rework system designed for technicians who need accurate component alignment and repeatable thermal control without the complexity of a computer-based profiling platform.

Manual component placement with a precision touchdown stage supports accurate BGA and SMT positioning. Coupled PID controllers manage top reflow and bottom preheating with programmable ramp-and-soak control.

Manual Vision Placement

The Bandit includes a manual component-placement arm with a final precision touchdown stage. Micrometer alignment controls help the operator position components accurately before beginning the reflow cycle.

Coupled PID Profile Controllers

Separate microprocessor controllers coordinate the top reflow heater and bottom preheater. Integrated digital timers and closed-loop sensing provide programmable soak and ramp control without requiring an external computer.

Repeatable Thermal Performance

The digital closed-loop system is designed for repeatability within 2% of the selected temperature set point. Operators can display and program temperatures in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.

Flexible Board Handling

The system supports circuit boards up to 14 × 16 inches. A freestanding 8 × 12-inch frame board holder with a Teflon-coated base allows convenient positioning around the rework area.
